a huge 12 horse trailer backed into the driveway near the racer barn, Brittany ran out from the stable house squealing in exitement, "where is my baby" She whispered, she had met Lawyer once but he would now be hers, she had met him a few months ago, and now he is broken in.
A tall man jumped out from the large semi front truck and walked straight to Brittany"Well they there little missy, can i help you" He asked and Brittany smiled"Yes sir, you have my baby in that trailer" She said and the man smiled and nodded"So your the lucky girl, i talked to your father this morning and he said to jsut give him to you because he has him paid and signed a paper a while ago" He said and Brittany smiled and did not say anything but stared at the trailer"Well, can i have him?" She said and continued to stare at the trailer.
The man laughed and opened the trailer and walked in, about 3 minutes later he lead a gorgoues dark bay colt down the ramp.
"Here's that Lawyer you ordered" He said handing her the lead shank"I have 11 more of these thoroughbreds to deliver so i will get going, i hope you enjoy your new colt, he sure is a handful" He said and walked away.
Brittany nodded and kissed his nose, he smelt like a freshly groomed show pony, with the smell of a rosy smelling shampoo in his mane and tail.
He stood tall and listened to the horses in the barn. |

Dylan wandered up the drive, his hands in his jean pockets. He watched as a huge trailer rattled away, towards the horrizon. He saw the tail of a horse dissapearing into the stable. He followed it inside and stood at the door, wondering if Britt knew he was here. "Ummm, hello?" He said, tentivley. Dylan stared at the stall door, questionaly...

"Hey Dylan" Brittany said walking Lawyer toward the barn"Meet lawyer, my new colt" She adding stopping next to Dylan and smiling in exitement"He sure is a beaut huh?, my father bought him for my birthday, but he came a little late, since my birthday was last month" She laughed rubbing Lawyers silken, dark brown neck"This boy sure will add some shine to the track" She spoke yet again and wait for Dylan to reply.
Brittany was never the jockey of her own horses, though she wished she could be her father would never allow her to be, she trained them for racing, and was real good at it, but when they got to the track her father always had her jockey waiting there for her.

Dylan smiled at Lawyer. "He's a fine horse," he agreed with Britt. He then heard he birthday had passed a little while ago. His face broke out in a grin "Happy Birthday!" He laughed and smiled again. He looked the big thoroughbred up and down. His strong legs looked great..[/color]

Brittany smirked, her small dimples showed in her chubby cheeks"Yeah, i could only afford him because i am 'rich" She said with a tone that meant she was making fun of herself"I mean, i my dad bought him for me because i missed watching my own thoroughbred race, but he had at least 50 colts for me to choose from, and Lawyer was definatly the right one, i mean, look at him, he is such a calm, good little colt" She said patting the colt's neck"Thanks, none of my friends say happy birthday to me, they all just ship she gifts and leave notes with them" She said and ran her fingers through Lawyer's mane"You are a great friend."
